DS Driven clutch help
I have a 2007 DS and when I push the gas pedal it turns over and then is like BAM as it engages the rear wheels.. Once I do that it moves fine.. Is that the driven clutch thats causing this problem? Could it be just a component in the driven clutch? How would I check this and is it a difficult fix?

Re: DS Driven clutch help
The engagement shouldn't be that abrupt. Put the cart in maintenance mode by flipping the little yellow cam on the back side of the shifter 180 degrees. Run the cart in neutral and see if it still goes BAM. Watch the clutches to see what they do when it goes BAM. Take a video and post it here if you can.
Here's what the clutch engagement should look like when you rev up the motor (this older cart has a different motor than yours but the clutch operation is the same): |

Re: DS Driven clutch help
Could be either clutch. A sticking drive clutch will cause that or a stuck open riven clutch can cause that by allowing too much slack in the belt. Like Springbok said, check out the video and compare how your clutch acts with your cart in maint mode.

You think it’s an engagement issue ? or check the simple stuff first is your engine snubber still intact or is it deterioted and missing ( the snubber is the rubber mount on the nose of the engine pan)
