Default '96 gas CC Carryall 11 Plus stuck in reverse

My '96 CC Carryall 11 Plus is stuck in reverse. Any advice as to what may be wrong or how to get it unstuck will be appreciated. Thanks!

Stuck how? Does the shift lever move freely, or does it not move at all?

If you disconnect the shift cable from the lever on the trans, can you move the the lever?

Shift lever moves, with or without shift cable attached. Leaver detents feel like its locking in to forward, neutral or reverse but no matter what you do with the lever, tranny stays in reverse. Engine running or not makes no difference, it just stays in reverse.

You moved the lever on the trans and it's still in reverse? If the lever on the trans moves and the trans is still stuck in reverse there's a problem inside the trans.

Most of the time the shift cable breaks in one of the bends in the cable. It frays the broken end, and can make it feel like there's still something attached, but it's not. Disconnect the cable at either end and pull on the cable and see if it pulls out of the sheath.
