Default just a curious question

Wondering what the top speed of your club car precedent gas is.

Mine is 20.

I bought it running that speed and TRIED to play with governor yesterday and I think that it hit a rev limiter.

Anyone have an opinion on this?

I've got a carryall with the Kawasaki 350 engine. Stock little tires still, it will cruise about 16mph or so. If I adjust it any more from where it's at it just hits the rev limiter. But I'm fine with that, it's not built for speed. We just use that to haul stuff around the property, and it does that like a champ!

I tried the zip tie trick that has been talked about on here. Nothing.

Either I’m doing something wrong or......

Still 20-21 and I can tell it was hitting the limiter.

Anyone know what I’m missing??

Theres a lot of factors that will influence speed. Windshield, wide heavy tires, clutching, belt and clutch condition/wear, tire size, weight (rear flip seats are quite heavy), etc all play a huge role in top speed. Simply adding a 5 lb roof on my yamaha lost 3mph just in added wind drag.

Little things make big differences. It would be helpful to have many more details about your particular cart.

Need info on cart ....
you said it was a Precedent ?
What motor are you running Kawasaki or Subaru EFI ??
Are you running the stock tires or oversize tires ?
These are factors to be able to help you

You are right and my apologies.

Kawasaki engine
Lifted cart. Not sure if 4 inches or 6.
Aftermarket tires and wheels. 12 inch wheels 23x10.5 tires
It has the extended roof
Rear seat

That’s about it!!

Now that I read all of that, 20mph seems good!!
