New to Club car
So I just recently acquired a club car xrt1500 diesel. It is definitely used and well used may i add. it runs great except that the rear wheels only spin. It is a 4x4 model. Does anyone else have this problem? Thank you.

Re: New to Club car
Not real familiar with those, but it should have a cable for the 4wd lever. Make sure when you pull the 4wd lever on the dash that it actually moves teh cable and that the 4wd lever on the trans moves with it. Also make sure its moving far enough to fully engage the 4wd selector.
With the cart on jack stands, all 4 wheels off the ground, engage the 4wd by moving the lever on the transmission by hand, and make sure the prop shaft spins from the 4wd output case all the way to the front differential. If the prop shaft doesn't spin you have a problem with the selector lever or 4wd shafts inside the trans. If the prop shaft does spin, then there could be a problem in the front differential or could have a broken front cv axle. |
