Gas Club car precedent wiring harness has 9 pin connector, light kit has 12
I ordered the madjax head and tail light kit and the ultimate upgrade kit to make the cart street legal, but the kit comes with a 12 pin connector, and my wiring harness under the dash has a 9 pin connector. Did I order the wrong kit? Was my cart re wired at some point? I called golf cart king where I got the parts and they said that sometimes they’re wired with both but I only see the one...

What year precedent? You may need a “bucket harness” that will have the 12 pin connector to bring power for the lights up to the dash. I haven’t done a light kit on a gas precedent so I’m not totally sure.

That was it. I looked in the kit and there was a bag labeled bucket harness that made it work. Doh!
