another solenoid question
i have a 79 marathon 2 stroke. what makes a solenoid go bad? i had to get one last summer and it lost power on one side today. i checked all my fuses and connections and everything looks good as far as i can see. i'm wondering what else i need to check. the solenoid has only about 5-6 hours on it. the one i bought is a continuous duty. thanks.

Re: another solenoid question
How do you test a solenoid? Personally I think I got a bad one. The one I bought was the cheapest one I could get. I guess you only do that once.

Re: another solenoid question
I found my problem and ended up burning the solenoid up so I went and bought a trombetta continuous duty. It took me three days but I had a bad ground on my solenoid bracket where I didn't think I had one. Cart starts and runs now. Thanks.
