Default Just bought a new project...

It is a 1990 EZGO. It has some sort of lift, wheels/tires on it already but does not run. I look forward to making it my own.

Welcome to BGW 799 Look at the upright panel on the passenger side and see if there is a tag? give us the numbers and we can go from there. Looks like a great project and I see you should have plenty of help More pics also helps as we go K.

Thanks Lou. Just looked up my serial (444932) and Manufacturer code (G2787) to find out it is a 1987. Was told it was a 1990, but the year doesn't really matter to me.

Now I just need to find some manuals for it and I should be god to go.

I plan on taking plenty of pics as we progress. Right now it is just a matter of tearing it all down to clean it up and start from scratch. I have never attempted this before so it should be interesting.

I won't get too carried away (hopefully) before I find a couple of manuals for it. I found some but they are $70!!

Thanks Doc. That is the plan. This should be a lot cheaper than the '41 Chevy coupe I was looking at .

Good find rjc, 1987 is a good year. In 1988 EZGO changed the specs a little to try and upgrade the output, in fact the 1988 was called the HO (high output) cart. I didn't work out so well so in 1989 they changed to the 3PG engine. 87 was the last of the regular 2PG's and is a fine machine.

Enjoy
Dave.

Thanks Dave!

My son and I started the tear down last night.

We took off the seats, plastic panels, rubber stripping, dash, name plate, rubber mat, and lights.
