TXT Rear axle replacement questions
2005 TXT Gas
I am having to replace the driver's side axle and hub and have a few questions. Part numbers would be AWESOME!! 1) What bearing and how many do I need to buy? Part number would be awesome. 2) Is all I'm gonna need is an axle, hub, bearing and a seal? Thanks in advance!! |

Re: TXT Rear axle replacement questions
I think it is 72056G01 for a Gas TXT 1994-2009 left drivers side but please validate that..

Re: TXT Rear axle replacement questions
The shopezgo web site can do wonders. Get the part numbers there and look at the sponsors or just contact the sponsor of your choice..

Re: TXT Rear axle replacement questions
One other thing...
On the bottom of the rear diff where the axle tubes meet, there is a machined "notch" there. I thought for a second it was a crack because I started loosing oil while removing the axle. What would make it leak from that notch? |

Re: TXT Rear axle replacement questions
Can you post a pic of the Notch or leak?
Did you get you bearings and seals? You should consider doing both sides.... |

One more question: When I removed the axle, this is the order of stuff: spindle nut snap ring axle with bearing snap ring (did not remove) There was no seal between bearing and either snap ring. Where does the oil seal go? |

Re: TXT Rear axle replacement questions
Come on guys...I REALLY need some help!!
Where exactly does the seal go? and What about the machined notch? Why would have been leaking from there? Starting to feel like I got some sort of mark beside my name that says "don't answer this guys questions". |
