G16A....Solenoid question
I'm new to working on Yamaha carts, but working on one for a friend. It is a model G16A.
It doesn't do anything. When pressing the accelerator, I get no click. Checked voltage on each of the small terminals of the solenoid. When I put red lead on one small post, black lead on other small post, and press the accelerator, I'm getting about 1.8 DC volts. Shouldn't I be getting close to 12? I even disconnected the wires from the small post of the solenoid, connected my tester, and again, only got 1.8 DC volts. Do I have a problem elsewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
