Motor meltdown
Can anyone tell me what would. Cause the armature to actually melt down in spots where the brushes were setting The cart is a yamaha 36 volt system bought the cart as a project and am learning a lot about it. Thanks and I am a new member so bear with me.

I've seen it happen when cart was stuck and rider held pedal down without wheels turning.

Thanks for the input . Now I'm off to find a new motor wish I would have some idea about that before I bought it but I'm Into it now. Hopefully I can find a reasonably priced motor any suggestions?

A short in the armature insulation will do that also.
