Sounds like you did it some good. Stock with the governor they are good for about 18-20 mph. If you crank the governor down you might get a few more. Go to the "stickies" section and find the governor mod procedure. If you really want it to rev out, bypass all that linkage crap and hook the cable directly to the carb. You'll get 25-28 mph easy. With some light mods and a larger carb that cart will go 35-40 mph. It gets pretty sketchy at high speeds though. More than 25 mph is dangerous on an older cart, especially the G1.
