48 volt TXT 2011 does nothing, no solenoid click
I am trying to get this cart running. The controller has been tested and is good solenoid is new. When I flip the tow/run switch to run its like the cart tries to turn on but then fails. If I switch the FR switch to Reverse then turn the tow/run to run there is a short beep then it stops. I can't figure it out. Does anyone have any clue what it could be? It kind of seems like what the older ezgo's would do if the reed switch was faulty, but I can't tell that this one has a reed switch?

Re: 48 volt TXT 2011 does nothing, no solenoid click
Also, I have found all kinds of trouble shooting information and flow charts on older EzGo carts like the PDS carts, but have not found a very good one for the 2010-2011 TXT carts. Does anyone have a link to some?

You should have 48v (+) at both ends of every red line (on this drawing) when you try to go. Start at the battery and end at the solenoid

ran into this alot! Its your receptacle that accepts your charger cord. To test if I am right do this. The blue wire that has a quick disconnect connector on it from the charging receptacle, disconnect the wireit just unclips from the plastic connector. Now connect a jumper wire from the positive connector of the batteries and connect it to the blue wire that leads to the controller. Cart should run fine. If it does you need to replace the whole recetacle assembly that is held to the cart with 4 rivets. On our fleet,I have replaced about 46 of them so far.

Now test the blue wire (-) from control to solenoid, you may be missing that... it takes + and - to click the solenoid
PS main coil is solenoid |

I have 48 volts on both sides of the solenoid, key is on, cart in forward, and pedal depressed or released it is the same voltage as the other side.

Re: 48 volt TXT 2011 does nothing, no solenoid click
To clarify
1. we are testing the small posts 2. one is positive and other is negative. 3. with charger unplugged, key on, in gear, press the gas = you should read 48v between the 2 small posts on the solenoid and the solenoid should click. 4. If 48v between the 2 small posts and no click the solenoid has failed and should be replaced. |
