This has not been an issue since the installation in April of 2016. It's a 30 amp converter but all it powers are lights including signals and brake --all LED.

Would I be correct in assuming that a 2015 RXV with factory lights would already have a voltage reducer?

Can I now assume that I can install a USB charge port from that?

I have no interest in installing a radio or any other electrics for that matter.

While many do, a lot of the early rxvs just stole 12v from the left side battery.

Factory DC converter is mounted on a bracket under the seat, just below the charger port. It'll be easy to tell, either there's a bracket with a box & a bunch of wires, or nothing at all in that location. They used 3 different models of DC converter, so a pic might not help as much as you think.

Let me revise this based on another post from you. You dont have factory lights, they are aftermarket. Since yours are aftermarket, all bets are off.
