Default Ezgo pds alltrax 400 quit running

Ok. I placed a jumper cable (heavy duty) from one of big post to other big post. I would assume this is the same as what you were saying. When I flip the tie run switch on I get seven red blinks but no movement

Again thanks again for yalls help!

I'm an idiot. I went back and saw where chart said over voltage. And I thought. Hmm maybe I have battery charger connected. I did. I disconnected and tried and it will move with the posts "jumped". Does this mean bad solenoid? Does this mean controller may be good?

Default Ezgo pds alltrax 400 quit running

Ok. So I'm a bit confused. I replaced the solenoid with another used solenoid at the beginning of this process and they both did the same thing... nothing. However, now if I bypass solenoid the cart runs. Both solenoids bad?

Thanks to yalls help I understand a little more about how this thing operates. My question is the activation of the solenoid should come from pin 5/7 of the controller is this correct?
Because of the solenoid receives b+ and b- to the small terminals it is supposed to engage. And connect the circuit of the large terminals. Is all this correct? So, it appears I'm having both issues with the solenoid and the activation of the solenoid from the controller?does this seem somewhat logical? Can I create my own activation circuit to continue using this controller?

I hope this make sense!

Thanks!!

Remove the jumper. Replace the small solenoid blue or black wire from pin 6 with a new wire from the solenoid to the controller large B- terminal and see if the cart runs.
If not, try both solenoids wired this way.

It will work. Now if I place the yellow and blue wires back like they are supposed to, the solenoid engages automatically. I assume it is staying engaged all the time. So, the cart will run. But I'm guessing this isn't good... not exactly sure what changed, but.... not sure where to go from here. I think the solenoid is good bc if I put pack voltage to the small terminals it clicks and the large posts have continuity between them.

Leave the wire off from pin 6 to the solenoid and the cart should operate normally . The controller has lost some function but otherwise is working. Start saving $ for a new Alltrax XCT400PDS

Ok. So maybe I stated it wrong. But I think i have a solution. Please tell me if I'm crazy. The blue wire that connects to small terminal of solenoid seems to be b- all of the time. The yellow wire seems to be b+ all of the time. No matter what happens with the pedal. So the solenoid stays engaged all of the time. I'm guessing that's not good. So, what if I connect a wire from pin 5 to one of the small terminals of the solenoid. Pin 5 changes to pack voltage when the pedal is pressed. This would cause the solenoid to engage when the pedal is pressed like it should coming from pin 7.

Will this work? Or am I crazy? Thanks again for all of the help!!!

Right. The yellow wire is momentarily energized when the key is first turned on. If you wait a moment the solenoid should disengage. From then on the solenoid clicks with the go pedal. I suspect your go pedal micro switch is broken closed.
Do not leave the solenoid engaged when the cart is not being driven.

Ok. But pin 5 is green. It is the only pin that is changing when I press the pedal. Is it ok if I connect it to the small terminal of the solenoid in order to activate it with the pressing of the pedal?

Thanks!

No this wire will not work, lift the floor mat and the open the pedal box if the yellow wire is hot (+) all the time. GL
