Default 2014 EZ GO RXV Axle bearing replacement

Will I need to purchase a slide hammer to remove drivers side axle?

Normally the axle and bearing comes out fairly easy. If not put the hub and castle nut back on and bang the back of the hub with a rubber mallet.

When you do this, do you only have to disassemble just the hub, and remove the snap ring, then put the hub back and castle nut back on and hammer outwards? Do you have to disassemble the axle from the differential box also? I was trying to remove the driver's side rear wheel bearing. I jacked up the RXV, removed the wheel, removed the snap ring and then put the hub back on. Now is it ok to hammer the hub outwards or do I have to remove more parts? Thanks in advance!

You have removed enough, hammer away!

I actually just leave the nut loose, and slide the hub outwards with force, and use it as my hammer.

Thanks CgTech! I was able to change out the bearing and it sounds so much better now. I really appreciate you and everyone on this forum helping out.

Are the rear wheel bearings the same for the driver side and passenger side on the rxv. I ordered what i thought was the right one ond only 1 side of the wheel bearing has a seal on it the other side is open showing the balls
