I have an ezgo 36 volt with a de2 4007. What is a good motor to buy to get a little more speed?

Upgrade the controller to an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS and it will do about 24MPH on stock height tire. The stock PDS controller RPM limits the motor to 4400RPM in the Freedom mode, or about 18.5MPH on 18" tall tires. The stock PDS motor you have will spin up to about 5600RPM with a 36V battery pack and faster with 42V or 48V battery packs. The XCT controller is user programmable and the RPM limit can be set to the max recommended RPM for that motor about 6000. |
