EZ GO Electric Problems
98 EZGO DCS
Battery Voltage 37.2 volts (batteries are 7 years old) VOM set on 200 DC Key on, Forward engaged, tow in run, reed switch hooked up to Batt+ Batt side of Power Harness 37.2 B+ to Con to motor M1 to motor 5.1 volts Both Sol terms are 5.1 volts New OEM harness New OEM F/R switches New tow switch New ITS coil New Solenoid Cont test on ITS mirco ckeck OK Solenoid will not engage What does it sound like or where to start looking? |

Your batteries are only about 70% charged and DCS controllers have no low voltage protection, so there is the possibility the controller is bad.
First step is getting the solenoid to click. When cart is ready to drive except for pedal being pushed, what are the voltages on the solenoid's two small terminals? Should be battery voltage (38.2 when charged). |
