Default 1999 36V Ez-go only getting 9mph

Batteries are 2 years old.
Stock everything except 22" wheels
36V
Solenoid replaced.
Curtis controller.
The cart only gets to 9 mph.

Not sure where to start.

I was thinking of removing the motor and cleaning it out.

Advice on where to start would be appreciated.

Thanks.
How would I check for electrical problems?

If your cart is a SERIES drive.....the fact that you have large tires on it is part of the problem, considering you said the rest of the cart is stock. the stock drive system isn't designed to push large tires, and if they are low pressure tires as well, that even makes it worse. as it stands....that may be all you are going to get out of it......until you upgrade the drive system.

Update, the throttle pedal wasn’t pushing all the way into the speed sensor under the floorboard. I adjusted it to push farther in and it goes faster.
