Default 2008 RXV changeover

Is there any way to change over a rxv from ac to dc? It appears that the controller and/or motor may be bad. Its very hard to work on without the hand held programmer. The parts are way to expensive to replace both or even one if you don't know what is bad.

For a 2008 RXV, it might be more cost effective to just change cart platforms. The RXV controller/motor/wiring harness are so tied together that I doubt going to an older drive technology would be feasible.

If you dont like it anymore, sell it & get something different. The cost to do what your suggesting would be huge. The input shaft is too long for most motors, there are no brakes, the controller isnt cable of powering a DC motor.

Why don't you post the problems you are having on here and let these guys give you some insight. Things are not always as they seem.

These are the responses I was expecting to get. This cart will not run at all and a local dealer would not even discuss looking at it so its probably not something I need to start digging into. The cart is not mine but, belongs to a guy who would like to get it fixed.

If you don’t want help, why are you on here?
If you don’t want to fix it, don’t. Tell the guy he should get a different cart.

The part about no wheel brakes is reason enough to either fix the cart or sell/trade it.
