TXT 36V - Low torque even with upgraded components
First time cart owner here, and first forum post!
I've recently gotten a 1997 TXT 36V, and it seems like it has barely any torque at all going up slight grades (10° @ maybe 5 mph max and will barely go up the trailer ramp). I've tested the pack voltage at no load ~38.5V and while going uphill ~35.5V. The cart has a 7124 Motor, 2awg welding cables, FSIP 500a controller, upgraded soleniod (can't find the model # yet) but it looks like the heavy duty variety, newer F/R switch (still the stock lever type, but the old one was included so it was replaced at some point), and apparently the batteries are new (look to be in good shape but I cannot find a date code). I should mention it is also on 22" tires. I am lost trying to diagnose this thing, so hopefully you guys will point me in the right direction! Thanks in advance! |

Re: TXT 36V - Low torque even with upgraded components
What does the voltage drop to when going up the ramp? 35.5v "on the ramp & barely moving" doesnt sound plausible. Also check voltage at controller terminals B+ & M- while attempting the ramp.
