Replace it with an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS (or larger) and a 200A or larger solenoid.

ok just for kicks I pulled the cover off the controller and found a burnt area. You can see it in the lower left corner on the zoomed in photo.

That is the logic board, the power board is underneath it. (It is marked 1206MX Logic Board under the Curtis-PMC logo.)

It has a bunch of can shaped capacitors mounted on it as wells as the bus bars that form the B-, M- and B+ terminals and the MOSFETs that control the power pass to the motor.

Here is a low resolution picture of the power board of a series controller, (Curtis 1206 - a PDS controller is a 1206MX and will look a bit different.)
