Default 36V TXT/DCS Struggling during driving up numerous grades to hills

My cart is a 36v 1999 TXT DSC // Alltrax DCX400 // HD Solenoid // 6X Duracell Ultra Pro GC-Battery (1/17) // 6" lift //22" tires. Has 36v to 12v converter to run lights and marine speakers. Besides these upgrades everything is stock. Replace brushes in motor in June on 2017.

A few months back it started struggling and even stopping when driving up hills about 45 degrees. The HD solenoid would heat up and put off an electrical burning smell. I upgraded to a new larger solenoid from ScottyB. The cart seems to have started to struggle again now.

The cart has not been charged in the last two weeks and the sitting voltage is 36.92 but while driving up my driveway (15 degrees) it drops as low as upper teens.

scottyb or JohnnieB any ideas??

Batteries BATTERIES BATTERIES
Stop you are killing it. Low voltage increases amperage draw - high amperage draw creates heat - heat KILLS components.
Voltage should never NEVER drop below 32 volts.
Replace the batteries. Or better upgrade the battery voltage too!
Is that clear ?

How hard would it be to upgrade to full 48 volt system?

only because i am doing the same...not hard in your case. your controller already supports up to 48V i believe, not sure what solenoid you have but that should be 48V rated as well (upgrade if not). Your motor will take 48V no problem. So pretty much just the batteries, charger, HD forward/reverse switch and 4-2 gauge cables on it all.

When going to 48V you have to upgrade to the HD forward/reverse switch?

On today's market, what is the best 8V battery out there that people are having good results with?

So started to do a little upgrading and add a digital voltage meter to the dash. The digital meter I ordered is bad and now my cart will not power up. I have battery pack voltage at the both large wires on the solenoid but have no voltage off any of the small wires off bottom of solenoid. What am I missing?
