Default Battery Charge Leval Gauge

We just purchased a lightly used 2017 TXT with lithium batteries, is there an accurate gauge available that will display battery charge level?

The most accurate one you'll find is the factory ezgo one. It's not perfect either. The problem with gauging lithiums is that you cant do it with voltage readings alone. Lithium pack voltage will stay pretty flat, until the very end when it drops like a rock (therefore monitoring voltage wont tell you much until the very end when it plummets and your soon "out of gas").

It's much harder to accurately gauge lithiums than lead acid batteries, the lead battery pack voltage drops at a pretty predictable & measurable rate, allowing it to be gauged pretty easily with voltage readings alone. On lithiums, you pretty much have to measure amps going out & in, then compare those numbers to the amp-hour rating of the pack, while monitoring voltage to be sure the batteries are operating within expected parameters (old worn out lithiums wont deliver their original rating)

That's good information, thank you.
It looks like experience with my cart will dictate when to connect to the charger. From reading the manual the charger will determine the batteries condition and adjust the charge as needed.
Is it better to wait till the batteries are "close to empty "or keep them "topped off "?

If were talking lithiums, For long term storage, leaving them at about 70% full is best.
