Default F&R switch question

Hello all,
I have a 2007 ezgo txt series cart. My cart will only run at very low speed then quit. I can smell a burned smell as well. No smoke or anything. I read on previous post to check the F$R switch. All the wires look ok as well as the post. The brushes do show a little wear but no chunks missing or burn marks. I did notice that one of the switches is a little gummy. It does not click when rotating the selector bar. Meaning it never goes to open line. It will click when I manually push it and ho open line. I hope that description makes sense. The switch circled in the picture is the one in question. Could this be the issue causing the cart not to run? Or is a separate issue.
Thanks

Well that wasn't the problem. Would have been too easy. Cart wont work in forward or reverse. Strong burning smell. Controller is hot after trying for only a few seconds. Unfortunately it is probably the controller. Unless someone has any tips? Thanks.

I think it has to be the controller, b+ wire going to it getting hot when barely pushing the accelerator. Controller getting hot to the touch with just a few seconds of pushing accelerator as well. Any other ideas will be a lot of help or please help me confirm controller is bad. Thanks.

2 of the terminals on the F&R look fried (the dark ones).

Just to update in case anyone else has a similar problem. Controller was bad, actually it was so fried it warped the casing. Found 2 wires going to the motor were rubbing together and eventually were through the insulation and were shorting out. Happened where the wires go through the metal ring near the motor. It was the B+ wire and the wire going to the F and R switch. Changed the controller out and working great. Hopefully that was the only problem. Thanks for the help.
