I have a 2011 TXT48 with 3 month old trojan battery's with tires labeled as 23" and a rear seat added everything else is stock. I get about 19.5 mph by gps.

Its it worth programming?

Well, 23" tires on a TXT48 work best when a performance motor is driven by a 500 Amp controller. The stock motor can handle 400 Amps, for a fairly good while. The stock Curtis 1206HB-5201 TXT48 controller is a 250 Amp controller, as currently configured from the factory. I know how to set it back to its original 300 Amp rating. However, that is still not enough to drive the stock TXT48 motor to full performance with 23" tires. But it is enough to deliver better performance than it was when stock.

Hi Bob! Im new to the forum but ive been trying to get my post up to be able to contact you. What i have is a 2016 TXT that i can only get 19/20 mph out of. Ive constantly read that you work WONDERS with the RXV and was wondering if there was anything you could do to help me with my TXT. Its a completely stock cart other than a 6” lift and tires. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

That's pretty good. I only get 12 mph on my 2015 TXT.

Stock 48 txt can be tuned up to run low 20s on stock tires. Faster with larger tires but the controller is really too small to run the larger tires long. It will eventually fail from thermal shutdown. Bob can tune it up but be prepared to replace it.
