Look here and decide what your cart is and we can move forward.

EZGO RXV made in the years 2008 - Current will look like the golf cart in first picture.

Connected seat back
Rounded front fenders with large bumper on front
Molded plastic roof with handles
Serial Number located in 3 different places. One is placed on the steering column, the 2nd is located on the frame under the front splash shield on the drivers side, and the 3rd is located on the passenger side frame rail at the rear of the cart

EZGO TXT made in the years 1996 - Present will look like the golf cart in second picture.

Connected seat back
NO Plastic Front Bumper
Top with Handles
Serial Number located on a plate inside the passenger side glove compartment

OK then, now we know. You have a TXT 36/48 volt Ezgo DC system. Not a RXV.

Do the batteries have 3 are 4 holes in them to put the water in them?

3 holes is 36 volt. 4 holes is 48 volts.

Also look on the batteries and see if you can find the year sticker for the batteries. It should look like this. A7. It maybe stamped into the - post of each battery are a sticker on them.

Yes it should be a 48 volt cart but just want to be sure. You never know what a PO has done to them.

Now as far as speeding it up. look at your wiring harness, does it have the pigtail that is capped off? If it came from a dealer it should. The dealer can set it up to go around 24 MPH with that stock controller.

To go any faster you will need what we talked about in the other post.

I know the pig tail that you are about. Its as easy as taking it to a dealer to get it to go another 4/5mph? With the stock controller? How much more shoes could i get with a after market controller and who would you recommend to set it up? If you said it in another post earlier, please forgive me! I kinda had my head turned around wanting to make sure we where on the same page being a TXT not RXV

The dealer is going to charge you at least $80.00-$100.00 to do it. Is it worth that to you?
If you want 27 MPH call Robby at PQ or Vic @ D&D motors. Either one will give you the info you seek. Personally I'd make a phone call to either. The controller will have to be swapped out though.

Robby # 803-548-7205

D&D ask for Vick 315-701-0635

I will definitely give them a call. I rather spend the money where it will help me later. I know 27/28 wont be fast enough for long so i rather put that 80$ somewhere it will help me later. Will let you know what they say. Thanks again
