Default John's 1990 restoration troubles...

ok its time to get into high gear on my cart.. so here are some questions

1. i cant seem to get the muffler pipe apart what do i do about that?
2. do i need to drop the engine frame off the suspension and frame then lift the frame off it to get it out?
3. gears...can i get them if i need them?
4. group 24 battery right?
5. the marvel mystery oil didnt work... whats that mean?
6. what is involved in getting the gas tank out?
7. steering question.. ok from top to bottom; steering wheel, long pipe thing,
wierd box, floor, outer steering components. what is this pin thing that sticks out of the box when i turn the steering wheel? and it goes in when i turn it the orher way...

AHH i think thats it for now

1. Get a hammer?
2. Yes
3. I believe you can only get them off another cart. i think they are discontinued.
4. yes
5.Engine swap. Some of the stuff that will need to be replaced in your engine is long gone out of the warehouses.

Take apart the top end and look at it. Im guessing if it still isnt moving your bottom end has some problems.

Yep, looks like you're going to be pulling and/or rebuiding that engine. It's hard to tell what all is seized on that if the month of MMO didn't break it loose.

i havent had time to work on it lately :( ive been in school and crap like that.......

oh and i cant get the bolts on the muffler to turn.....
im gonna drop out the engine cradle and clean all the crap out of everything then take the engine home and move the body out of the way of the maintenance guy's shack......
(he's cool like that)

i also dont think im strong enough/and i dont have enough leverage to turn it with the gas tank there... so i guess ill take the crap in way out of it and get someone strong.... oh ya it has no brakes or govorner
