Default Marathon Cradle Lengthening?

As long as it's done forward of the engine mount, one should be able to add an inch or two, to get the tires back and away from the body? I know the coil spring pads will require work, but they need a lift any way, and I'm considering just using motorcycle/ATV coilover shocks to replace the separate spring/shocks.

Correct!!! but you may have to lengthen the brake cables As for as the coil overs I used a pair of Harley sportsters which were chrome and I had the the only change was trimming the lower shock mount and installing the steel sleeve from the old shock in the bottom rubber bushing.

a set of brake cables for a GXT804 (the Marathon version of the Workhorse) should give You about an extra 5.5" if I remember correctly, and the Sportster shock trick works well, especially considering how cheap You can find stock takeoffs.

Sweet. This place rocks! I'm considering ditching the drums for disk, especially if I enjoy the phaze 1 engine build enough to do a twin or triple. Since I have to fix the head-end of the motor mount brackets, I'll be adding additional support for a wider mill.
