Re: Upgrade to 4ga all around or just on batt pack and to controller & Solenoid
2 AWG is mucho overkill.. 2 gauge is plenty big enough for a 700 amp cart... Mine are 2 gauge and run entirely cool with some serious battery weeping hills...

Never mind 2nd time this morning I misread the intent! 2 AWG is indeed the same as 2 gauge... God I need to feed my eyes coffee...

UPDATE: I replaced the existing 4 AWG cables with Made in U.S.A. 4 AWG cables and do not have an issue anymore. You get what you pay for...

Re: Upgrade to 4ga all around or just on batt pack and to controller & Solenoid
I always build my own using 4 gauge jumper cables that have a lot of wire in them. I use good ends and make them as short as possible leaving a little room for flex. Every wire on cart gets rebuilt. Normally have to put HD forward/reverse switch on them. We do do a lot of hilly trail riding and occasional mudding and only thing that gets warm/hot is motor. Always check connections and make sure of no corrosion and that they are snug.
