No I didn't because I don't use it in the woods and don't have a v-glide. But the 48v is correct.

klanel, do you have a sepex or series cart?

Not entirely true. When I spoke with Vic at D&D when figuring out which motor I needed, He said slowly moving or creeping at a low speed is the worse thing you can do to a motor on a series cart. WOT draws the least amount of amps and has the least amount of strain on the motor.

For instance, with my ES-58 motor; He said initial acceleration from a stand still will draw almost all the current offered by whatever controller or setting you have on your controller (never 100% because there is no such thing as 100% efficiency), but when cruising at WOT the motor will only be drawing between 60-70 amps, thus running cooler.

Went back and read where you are running a 500 amp controller. You'll get it figured out. It would help to run that controller at 400 amps with that motor

That's also what Rick suggested. Even with new batteries I do see quite a voltage drop when it's lugging so the amps must be pretty high, just never plugged in to view while driving.

I hate to spend the money but think in the long run based on my usage that I'll need a motor with more torque.
In the meantime I'll turn the amperage down to 400 and see what happens.

I did unchecked the peak amp and set Max motor amps to 400. Didn't drive much but motor was barely warm afterwards. Also monitored voltage drop but haven't kept up with it enough to compare.

Still think I will end up going to a torque motor but will see how things work out first.

If I remember correct you said you had an Alltrax. Look at the orange item I circled.

I see that but on my SPM-48500 controller that is not an option. What I ended up doing was de-selecting peak amp mode and reducing the max motor amps to 400.

What exactly changes on your alltrax if you switch between street and golf or is it something that doesn't show up on the monitor?
