@ojo last night when i turned the key, the solenoid would click and I think I heard the self check.

But this morning when i turn the key, nothing.

The batteries are still reading a full charge.

I'm going to check the connection behind the cup holder this morning.

Make sure the green led on the front of the charge port isn't on. I have gotten my charge port wet before and had the led come on with the charger unplugged.

You can probe the blue wire behind the charge receptacle. With the charger plugged in, LED should be on or flashing and no voltage. With charger unplugged, you should have pack voltage to the controller to enable the cart. Sometimes the receptacle will fail and cause the cart not to run. I guess wet could do that. Certainly worth a look.

@sthreatt how do I probe the blue wire? Do I put a multimeter on blue and the other end of multimeter on black (-) battery terminal?

the charger plugs in and the green light flashes like it's charging

without the charger in place, the LED doesn't shine

Sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to be doing there, but yes, to check for proper voltage on the blue, connect volt ohm meter negative to battery negative. Unplug the blue behind the receptacle, and read for voltage coming out of the receptacle with no charger attached. Should be power there, and it should go away upon plugging the charger.

@sthreatt - maybe we're getting somewhere. I measure voltage with both the charger plugged in and not plugged in

but now, when i plug the charger in, the backup buzzer goes on. when i remove the charger plug, it goes off

Ha yah well me too. It's doing all sorts of weird and inconsistent things.

I can occasionally get the backup buzzer to come on and stay on no matter what I do. Including removing the key. Is there something that could have shorted (maybe it's intermittent) at the charger port? Is there a fuse I can check at the charger port?

Appreciate the help btw.

It's a headscratcher, i agree.... you won't find an answer in the troubleshooting guide. If the cart worked before, i would guess it's a short anywhere in the harness. Maybe pull all the connectors you can reach and dry/clean them. But under the floormat, behind the dash and at the controller it isn't easy...

@ojo, my cart performs the self test only on occasion. Most of the time, there is no click from the solenoid. My backup buzzer also is doing weird things, sometimes it comes on and stays on when cycling the key (ignition).
