With a PDS, the controller energizes and de-energizes the solenoid and the pedal switch is only one of several things that tells the controller do it, so the solenoid clicking may not always be in sync with pushing/releasing the pedal.

If the cart has been sitting still for several seconds, (10 or more) the solenoid will most likely be de-energized and you should hear it click when pedal is pushed.

ok, well after doing the few things I mentioned earlier, I took it out on 2 different short trips today, about 10 minutes each.. had no problems, thought maybe I got lucky with something.. But, alas, just went on about half hour drive, and toward the end, it did the same thing again... So I first thing back, I removed the controller cover, and the Solenoid was VERY hot to the touch,,, Just wondering if this is normal for the solenoid?
