"Brake Steer" help please

Is this a brake pads adjustment fix or a toe end adjustment fix?
When rolling down a hill fast ( series cart ) and I apply the brakes the cart pulls to the right. Do I adjust left brake pads or look at the front end. I did toe it up good I thought using the ole nascar method.....

Stock buggies just have two rear drum brakes. No pads. The drums work similar to a car but the adjusters are a little different. They're pretty easy to work on, so go to the stickies and download the owners, service, and parts manuals, then dig in.

If you look underneath the buggy, you'll see a piece of linkage where the two brake cables connect. If this is not even, it means the brakes aren't worn evenly.

ok I looked.The passenger side is shorter in length. So does that mean more wear on that side?

By shorter, I assume you mean the compensator is tighter on the passenger side cable. Since that's the side that it's pulling to, I'd suspect the drivers side drums are either worn, or the adjuster isn't working.

Mine weren't even either, and one of my adjusters wasn't working. I misspoke when I said an uneven compensator means uneven wear. It could simply be the shoes are worn the same, but adjusted differently. It's also possible that the longer cable on the passenger side stretches more over time.

The compensator is supposed to pull both sides evenly, but I'm sure it has its limits. I've only worked on one buggy, but I'd pull the drums and see what you have. There are real detailed instructions in the manuals in the stickies.

OK thanks. I did replace the shoes in them at the same time. I'm going to the campground next week and there is an ez go dealer there. I may just get him to look at it.
