On the other hand, you could change the rear end gears from the stock 12.44:1 to 15:1 and gain over half of the lost torque back or go to 17:1 and actually gain a bit.

Not having a desire to change the tire size.
I am leaning toward the gear aspect of this equation. Sponsor Imagination Manufacturing has a 2 speed, with a 20:1. They are getting 1300 for it. It is a bolt on, new brakes and all..

Not having the gearhead mentality/experience. Could you guys weigh in on this,please.

You do know that the 2-speed is for a 4x4 set up....right?

Not according to the IM rep. They can make it either way. The 4 wheel part of the spline can be left off. Or at least no visable.

It is cool. They are very helpful and easy to discuss ideas with.

I have scoured the threads today for input on the rear ends they build and I was unable to find a complete thread with data after installing one.
