Default 93 Marathon

Hi all, new to this site!
I was given a 93 medalist cart, and he said it needs a battery charger, and charger plug receptacle. I have looked around, but don't want to buy the wrong parts, so I decided to ask YOU experts!! He told me that he charged it overnight, and when he went out to unplug it in the am, it has "welded" itself together. I asked a local cart dealer, but he was a dick, and acted like if I wasn't buying a new one wasn't worth his time. I guess I need to have a wiring diagram also, to make sure it's all hooked up correctly. Thanks in advance for all your help!!!

Jay, you will find the wiring diagrams at the top of the section in the "STICKIES" and we have lots of sponsors here and can hook you up with whatever parts you need......

oh and btw......CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Hi Jay, You say your cart is a 1993. We need to make sure your cart is a 1993. Look in the passenger side glove box for the Service Tag and make sure the last two digits of the Manuf. Code are 93. If it says 93 then you have a Marathon. Medalist is a different cart and it was not made in 93. So you most likely have an EZ-GO Marathon. I have attached a wiring diagram for your cart(If You Have A 1993). Do you currently have a charger that goes to that cart or do you need another one?

Just to add, there might have been a loose connection in the chargers plug that goes into the cart, Heat would heat up the metal inside of the Plug and the port and that probably caused them to weld together. If you still have the old charger you can change the plug on it with a repair kit and you would not need to buy a new charger and you would save some money. Hopefully you still have the charger, if not you will need to buy a new one.

Matt
