Default Re: cc ds loss of power going up hill

That shaking is you drive belt slipping, My 89 Club Car does that too!
Spent a fortune to get a new heavy duty clutch and heavy duty spring,
same result, tried another belt, same thing. These flat head engines only had 8.5 HP when new, and with years of service I'd bet your compression is down a bunch form the 100 PSI it came with. My problem too.
I 'm looking for a replacement engine that is a bolt in for my 89 that now has no hill climb left it it like yours. Any Ideas?
I'd like 20 HP and more pulling power. Much less cost than a new cart.
Anybody done that to an old DS?
