Default 4" axle drop for EZGO TXT, did I get the right axle?

Hello - brand new to carts, just picked up a 2001 EZGO TXT and ordered a 4" Madjax axle drop lift kit.

I have the front disassembled and compared the axles to each other.

When I rec'd the kit, the spindle-extension was missing. MJ sent me the piece but now I am questioning whether the drop-axle is the right one after some observations.

I have a call into Madjax but thought you guys might be able to get me on track so I can either finish assembly or ask for the correct parts to be sent.

1. After setting each axle on the front springs, there seems to be only 2.5" drop. I'll try to attach photos. Do I have the right drop axle?

2. On the stock axle, the front driver side spring-plate bolt and the forward most rack bolt are the same. On the drop axle, there are separate holes but no bolt was provided to use for the spring-plate. I can get a bolt but is this right?

3. The rod end on the rack does not bury itself in the taper on the spindle extension. Is it normal to have a lot of taper showing? Should I scrape the powder coat out of the spindle hole?

Thank you in advance,
Bill McCall
