Custom Button(s) Rocker-Like Install Help To Flush Mount It
I am installing the pictured button(s). I can use a 2 inch hole saw to cut for mounting it. I want it near my calves by the F/R Lever.
You can see the circle portion that has the 3 buttons on it. I just want that piece to come through the body of the cart. I am not sure how to get it to hold on the inside of the cart body plastic. Easiest would be to bolt it through on 3 or 4 corners. But I don't want to see anything in front except the circle with the buttons. I think I could epoxy/weld it to the inside but if I ever needed to remove it might be an issues. Thoughts how to sturdy mount it? |

Maybe a pic of where you want to mount it would help.

You could u build a bracket from frame to seat frame and attach object to bracket.

Ok another idea. Epoxy some 3/8 or so solid plastic to backside (3or4) then pre drill the holes and drill the holes in your button frame to match the locations and screw your button to them. Always removable.
Looking at your button the "dowels " you attach will be different lengths. I hope this makes sense. E Ps nice paint job |

If you don't want to see the fasteners, you will have to build a bracket from behind. Not sure what you will have to work once it's assembled.

Ah I like the epoxy and plastic piece idea. that should work perfectly:-)
and thanks about the paint but I cant take credit for that. I had an auto shop paint the body and the front brush guard. But it came out pretty much how I wanted. |

Re: Custom Button(s) Rocker-Like Install Help To Flush Mount It
I would use TAP poly weld. I would cut a hole in cart body the same size as button you want. I cwuld cut out button with a 2 inch lip, then ashesive the lip to inside of cart body, with the button protruding. Adhesive is definitely the way to go, if you don't want hardware showing. These adhesive are super strong, and hold as good as bolts and screws would anyways.

I think the epoxy way is definitely easier, but if you ever needed to remove it, I would fab some sort of back bracket with removable fastners/screws.

Re: Custom Button(s) Rocker-Like Install Help To Flush Mount It
I am gonna use a piece of plastic/wood make the cutout hole...then secure it with epoxy...then I can just plug the button in from the inside of the body and screw it to the wood/plastic so if I ever have to remove it.
I am also now considering buying 3 tiny blue rocker momentary push buttons...trimming them down and epoxy/glue the buttons to each of the 3 buttons. All my other switches/rockers are blue or light up blue so it may look nicer if everything matches. |
