1982 ds club car rear axle swap to 1990 axle
Trying to get more torque to climb hills at are camp site i can get a rear axle from a later model club car with v drive my understanding of the 1982 cart had a 2 hp motor where the later model has 3.5 hp motor .The early model has the motor with spline shaft which is only fits the first models.Theres not much after market motors for them,i can buy the later model axle fot 100 complete.Can i swap as direct replacement?

yes ... but remember you will still have 82 electronics and they were made for golf courses not hilly back woods
you can upgrade to newer electronics like a controller cart |

I did the swap and now i have less power doesnt make any sense.top speed is the same do they have differant gear ratio?

Too bad you didn't see the NEW custom D&D hi-torque motor for 16 spine rear end I posted for cheap before you made the swap!

I ended swapping back out today right now funds are low but november be bettet shape for cash

1982 should be a Fuji rear- that was 10 spline

It has a hitachi motor so is it 10 spline?
