VC 625 oil in pulse line

Finally got this thing up and running, seems to run decent, still have minor adjustments, but after each test run Im constantly getting oil in the pulse line. I can pull and drain oil then cart will run decent enough but again oil fills the line. Is there a fix besides coiling the line and hope it doesn't happen? since this is my first big block install, I plan on adjusting the carb so it'll run cooler. Any help is greatly appreciated. Is there too much oil in it ? Some members talked about there being some test oil in the sump that needed to be drained before adding the recommended amount.

Oil level seems to be spot on, cart is stock not lifted. Is there a type of pcv valve like on cars that can be used?

I think maybe you should talk to VC first. I run a check valve on my 460 but that is off the valve cover. My concern would be too much crank case pressure could start blowing seals.

I spoke to Aaron at VC about this same problem.. He said to loop the line around the billet throttle bracket. He suggested going around it twice..

In essence getting the line above the fuel pump so gravity would keep it from running up the line.

I tried looping or coiling the line, but still getting oil. Stock cart with pump in stock location, fuel pump is lower than motor pulse location. maybe going higher with fuel pump

Do you know the sizes of jets that come with the NR racing kit? I pulled my main and its #114, was looking for similar jets but definitely bigger, Ive got a jet kit for Keihin carbs but different. My YFZ450 from stock jet to aftermarket larger was quite significant. I don't wanna buy a kit if its gonna be smaller sizes. This 625 needs fuel to run properly. Im still working on the oil issue.

The fuel pump on my EZGO is mounted about an inch or two below the seat bottom. The pulse hose has a gradual uphill climb from engine to pump. Try moving your pump higher.

How many times did you loop it? I believe we went 3 or 4 times around. Gravity will be on our side if down correctly and the oil will go back to the crank case.

I installed the 625 kit in a 1996 clubcar carryall I and had the same problem, when I called and spoke with Aaron I was told that this was a rare occurrence. I tried a check valve unsuccessfully. I tried looping the line up unsuccessfully, I finally capped the port off and am using the impulse from the valve cover for the fuel pump pulse. I didn't want to move the fuel pump out of the engine bay which seemed to be the only way to get the oil to drain back. Oil level was on full. I may be mistaken but I believe that it's a mist of oil that accumulates in the line and if it builds up enough it will dampen the pulse and not pump fuel. If its in the line it's not in the engine, doing what it's supposed to. So far I have had a small amount in the line coming off the valve cover but not enough to cause a problem.
