Re: gas club car dies and wont restart
Air gap on the coil should be .011 to .012. Check for a short to ground somewhere in the kill circuit.

Re: gas club car dies and wont restart
i was looking for other common problems lastnight on here and saw a diagram of two different coils one had the single wire coming in from the top of the coil and one in from the bottom. on the diagram is said the one with the wire in from the top had a built in ignitor (looks like what i have) and the one in from the bottom had a seperate ignitor (which is what the local parts guy gave me as a replacement) wondering if 1 that is true of the diagram and 2 if that is why i can not get the cart to run at all on their new coil.

Re: gas club car dies and wont restart
My 96 has the 97^ coil with the igniter built in. The one you were sold by the parts guy needs an igniter also to work. I went with the new style coil because it is less money to buy that ($110) than to buy the old style coil + igniter.

Re: gas club car dies and wont restart
i still have not figured mine out yet, mine also shuts off after 5-10 min of run time
this appears to be a very common problem with CC |
