G1 Driven Clutch spring
I was power washing the cart and noticed that the spring in the driven clutch is broken. I had noticed a while back that it wouldn't crawl up the ramps into the truck without the belt slipping. I attributed it to the belt being worn but maybe the spring has been broken for a while now.
I've heard folks talking about upgrading Yamaha's with a power spring. Visiting our site sponsors it looks like a power spring is one option and a complete clutch kit is another. Besides the $100 price difference has anyone been around them to compare the results of both? Currently my cart is stock. I hope to lift it and put 22" tires on it in the future but will probably keep the motor stock. Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Brad |

Re: G1 Driven Clutch spring
the torque spring will give you plenty of torque for the larger tires, just get a good spring from the site sponcers!

Re: G1 Driven Clutch spring
Yep, I agree. Best upgrade for the money. Make sure to get the spacer with the spring. This is assuming the rest of the clutch is in good shape. You may want to look at the ramp shoes as well.
