EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
EMP Motors redesigns and customizes any DC electric motor for higher speed, more torque, or both. When I say "Both", EMP produces an optional 2 speed motor so you can have the best of both worlds....SPEED and TORQUE!

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
the only thing I've seen wrong with the switched system, is you can disengage the motor by accident with your foot etc.. so, I installed a microswitch on the second f/r switch, so if it is disengaged, it will turn the car off.. thus preventing any electrical arcs....
all I'm waiting on now is a MCOR conversion kit to get in stock, I didn't think the v-glide would have given it a nice smooth ride... |

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
phasetim,
I'm not following...where did you mount the second f/r for your foot to hit it? I got a bad switch, Chuck @EMP is sending me a new one. Nice guy...good company! |

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
on the back of the torque/speed switch i mounted a small micro switch similar to the one on the f/r switch.... thus is someone kicks the switch by accident, there will be no danger of arcs... the torque/speed switch is a manual copper contact, a kid, or someone not paying attention could slip it out and cause an arc, potentially melting the switch, or cause a fire...
the two wires that go to the activating micro on the forward/reverse switch, i took one off ran it to my new micro on the torque/speed switch, then connected the two micros together with a new wire.... |
