Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
Thanks for the pic,...I see what you mean about feet possibly hitting the f/r. How much top speed variation to you get b/t the speed and torque setting? I got a bad switch first go around, Chuck @EMP just sent me a new one...arrived yesterday

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
not sure yet, I'm still finishing up the project.... I'm waiting on a MCOR conversion kit, I'm never happy with the performance of a v-glide on a high speed car, it throws people around too much.... when i get it in, I'm gonna run a few test for speed, torque etc... I've never used EMP products so I'm gonna give it a run for the money to see if I'm interested in them...

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
Phasetim,
Not trying to hijack the thread but you bring up an iteresting point. I've tried to figure out what is going on with my cart, it is very jumpy/jerky off the line. Others hav said it might be a v-glide, a bad solenoid, a microswitch box...I don't know. Any advice would be much appreciated. I have 95 CC DS 48v. |

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
You can try cleaning your contacts on your v-glide.

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
a v-glide using only so many copper contacts to slide between resistance rating, so you are jumping between different levels of resistance... the mcor is more like an old radio volume knob, it changes smoothly and slowly, offering a much more stable acceleration..
the conversions are like $230 (i think) been a while since i checked.. |

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
I finished installing EMP's motor today for my customer...
If it lasts as good as everyone is saying they are, the customer should be VERY happy. Speed is excellent, and torque is crazy.. Good motors.. |

Re: EMP 2 speed golf cart motors
I also made some headway with my EMP,...had a bad switch! High speed 22mph, torque 19mph. Setup performs well. Good service from Chuck @EMP
