1989 G2 ramp shoes
My cart runs fine but loses power going up hills, I read on this site to check the ramp shoes. I changed the belt and found the ramp shoes are worn, a mechanic over the phone told me I needed to compress the spring to seat the new ramp shoes. Any tips to make this any easier?

Re: 1989 G2 ramp shoes
what your machanic is saying isn't a bad idea, ive put in ramp shoes just to have them fly out after a test ride. you could compress the floating sheive of the driven with maybe a rachet strap? just be careful not to bind it on the shaft. the floating sheive btw is the one closer to the diff housing.
