Default yahama g1 cart

hello
i am a first time poster.
i just bought this g1 it was a basket case, rebuilt the motor itis a 2cycle.
cant seem to find out how to run the gas lines from the carb to the tank
there is two gas line on the carb,i think one of them is a return line but dont
know. does anyone know?

Your G1 would have 1 inlet for fuel (the other "small" hose goes to the oil pump) and depending on the year of the carb, there maybe an "overflow" tube. The stock G1's had a rubber hose out of the gas tank, then a fuel filter, then another rubber hose that would connect to a "steel tube" that would run to the rear of the engine, then another rubber hose to the fuel pump, then a rubber hose to the carb. there is an overflow tube and when i start it gas comes out of it.
where does the rubber hose go, back to the tank?

I would take the carb apart and really clean it. Sounds like the needle/seat/float stuck . use carb cleaner thru all the passages. Good luck Dave

thanks dave
took the carb off this morning and took it apart, the float needle had some
dirt on it blue the jets out and put it back togather, purrs like a kitten.
