G2 -G9 Owners - please help!!
Hi guys.
I have a simple, quick question - Is the below picture of my 93' G9 Differential shaft stock? (Oh and ignore the chain sproket set up!) The shaft is 5 1/2" long to the end of the bolt, 1" wide on the spline and 3/4" on the rest of the shaft, which is tapered and key'd. I ask, because I am thinking of swapping out this big block (400CC engine) with a smaller 16hp clone and want to get it back to the belt drive. Also, where can I find the clutch part that fits this side? Anyone have a stock one sitting around collecting dust? Thanks! Jim |

Cool! Hey, by the way, I've been drolling over your Geep! My dad restores old military jeeps, duces, 5 tons, and his latest is a 10 ton. He would be so proud if I had a golf cart that looked like that!!! He might even let me drive in the parades with him!!
I am willing to bet you've got a real one sitting around, don't you? |

Very cool! So, is it hard to come by the 'driven' part of the clutch? I've not seen one on my searches yet.

Re: G2 -G9 Owners - please help!!
I have a driven clutch that was removed from a Hyundai gas transaxle. The shaft is about 0.88 (?)...I'd have to go check it again, but the shaft is smooth with a keyway...no splines such as in your pix.
I think the rear end is a Dana. Looks like a Yamaha with bolt-on axle tubes. I'm looking for a sprocket adaptor for my transaxle. Saw one on here somewhere but haven't been able to locate same? Anyone? It'll be interesting to see what a stock transaxle will stand. Installing a '93 ZX6E engine. If the driven clutch will work for you, let me know. The OEM Suz 270 broke a rod and that killed the cart. The running gear is in otherwise good condition. I have both the driven and drive clutch, but cannot remove the drive from the crank...or have not been able to do so. Here's a pic of my transaxle and clutch for reference. JR |
