95 Club Car Engine turns over but will not fire (or catch
95 Club Car Engine turns over but will not fire (or catch)
My club car is hit or miss lately. This time it will turn over, give good volts and all — but wont fire to make the car go... gas is getting to the carb as it smells and floods... |

Ya... Checked for spark the other day. Then checked with new spark plug today. Did what you suggested as well... It is getting gas. Has a new selanoid new components in the box and all... What is the next step?

No. There is no spark... A wee little one if you look very hard, but that is intermittent... I say. No spark at this time. Do you think it could be the coil? Can I bypass that to see if it is? Any other thoughts?
The cart just stopped the other day... |

Re: 95 Club Car Engine turns over but will not fire (or catch
Your 95 should have separate coil and igniters. Most likely it is the igniter but not a certainty. The igniter is located behind the rpm limiter below the cylinder block and a whole bunch of weed eaters etc utilise similar units at lesser cost than the CC part. The coil is behind the flywheel shroud. Unfortunately there is no way that I'm aware of to bypass either component and testing them proves nothing since they appear to meter out ok when they are in fact broken !!!

Replaced the coil... still no spark. now I also have to jump posts on the selenoid to get the thing to kick over... Any thoughts... I don't want to keep spending money if I dont have to... I really thought it would be the coil because the cart turns over. Doesn't the ignitor have to work for the cart at least turn over? Or am I worong

Disconnect the ground on the rev limiter like invalidsesson said.
Mine had the EXACT problem. I unhooked the ground wire and I had spark. The jumping of the selenoid sounds like a fuse. |
