I welded a bracket so i can use the s/g but i dont know were the green , red , and black wire connect from regulator.the s/g is correctly wired and I have a solenoid with two big post and two small post.how would I connect so my battery can charge.also could I use a car battery? Any help would be greatly appreciated.mahalo

Re: how to get my battery charging with s/g, regulator, and battery.
I am only familiar with two starter/gen. the old yamahas had a red and green wires coming out of it, but you would have figured that one out already. The ezgo's have one small bolt/lug that the green wire will go to. The red wire can go on the solenoid's big terminal to battery +, and the black wire to a good ground/frame/engine/battery. you should have a #6 cable for ground from battery to the frame and the frame to the engine/mount
