Default head gasket

I am new to golf carts just bought my first one for 150 it is a ezgo marathon 1983 gas it needed a head gasket ordered one and three hours later gasket installed drove it for about 15 miles then head gasket blew out again removed head found a broke head bolt started reading found out this is common a new head bolt is 20 bucks so i started thinking i have built drag race and circle track engines in the past and head studs are much stronger so i found some studs the correct legth put them in sprayed both sides of new gasket with copper coat started ran great do not think it will blow again i have 14 dollars in studs and washers i used coupling bolts on top of the studs so the mounting bolts would work i will post if it blows out again next on the hit list is to build a exhaust system that exits out the back and has a expansion chamber going to motorcycle salvage yard tomorrow i would post pictures of repair if i knew how sorry

well it has been about 3 months or so no problems it as been in one parade and driven it about 25 miles i used exhaust studes for a ford 4.6 they were the correct size got them from the help section at the zone also used coupling nuts from hardware store this was a very straight forward converstion had to add a few washers under coupling nuts to get them flush with the fins on the head

Did changing to studs change the torque specs?
